If you’re just getting started with your WordPress based blog or website, you may not realize it but out of the box WordPress (WP) isn’t so friendly when it comes to search engines. That is, search engines (i.e. Google, Yahoo, etc.) index pages on a website like yours and add those pages to their list of similar pages from other websites. Hence when you search on Google for something it displays that list of relevant search results based on the keywords or phrases you entered for the search. Pretty straight forward huh?
