Yeah, I've seen the spam too but it doesn't really bother me as I don't see it or just ignore it. Second, a Twitter backlash is not surprising because there are a lot spammy users on Twitter as of late. A year ago, I rarely got messages from spammers. These days, I get spam messages on a daily basis.
