Terry Moran has just discovered one of the fatal flaws of posting on Twitter: you can’t delete your tweets! As I noted in my previous post about the Kanye West and Taylor Swift incident on the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Terry Moran tweeted that U.S. president Barack Obama may have called Kanye a jackass. The supposedly “off the record” comment by Barack Obama was leaked by the ABC Nightline co-author yesterday in the following Twitter message: “Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a “jackass” for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential”.
Here’s the official tweet which is not on Terry Moran’s Twitter account any longer but it’s still searchable on Twitter:

As you can see below, Terry Moran has removed the tweet from his Twitter profile. The deleted tweet was sent at 6:39 PM (CST):

According to an ABC spokesperson:
“In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview. This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again.”

Calling Kanye West a jackass is an insult to a jackass. President Obama was being kind calling him that. He was much worse.
