I’ve been using a new RSS feed reader for a couple of weeks now called Feedly. While I am a big fan of google reader, I don’t use it that much. I’d rather just visit that actual sites and blogs individually get news and updates. Feedly, on the other hand, has given me reason to think otherwise and use it instead.
Feedly is a Firefox based feed reader that launches directly from my Firefox browser and is directly integrated with Google Reader. Hence, any subscriptions you add to feedly will be added to Google Reader and any article you read or recommend in feedly will be marked as read and shared in Google Reader and vice versa. Feedly is quite powerful and allows you to customize it, select different viewing modes, broadcast your thoughts on articles you find interesting via Twitter, and clip the most interesting parts of a an article and share them with your friends via the annotation tool.
