Tatango is a group text messaging website that is launching its private beta today. Tatango claims to offer the simplest and most effective way for groups to communicate via their mobile phones. Basically the service allows you to message multiple contacts at once from your computer or mobile phone.
Previously known as networkText, Tatango will support faster text messaging, replies to mobile phone, contact importing, and many more features. The company recently received a round of funding from Bellingham Angel Organization in late June and currently boasts over 4000 groups using their service with over 17 million text messages served.

Just discovered a new niche video site called
I am a long time Outlook user who just recently moved to Gmail for many reasons (to be discussed in a later post). However, my interest in Outlook has been reignited with the public beta release of Xobni (inbox spelled backwards). Xobni is a plugin that essentially transforms MS Outlook program into a social network. It improves upon Outlook’s organization, search, and navigation abilities to a greater standard and makes it more user friendly. Xobni is a great analytics tool that identifies and displays trends for who and when you email someone and vice versa. It also automatically extracts contact information, attachments, and the sender’s known acquaintance’s (i.e. friends) from emails to display
