360desktop logoI am really excited about the potential of this newest desktop application. Have you ever wished you could have a huge monitor but aren’t willing to fork over the cash to get it just yet? Well, 360desktop may have provided the perfect alternative for you. Basically 360desktop gives you almost unlimited desktop space on your computer by extending the size of the desktop itself via a scrolling panoramic view. Thus now you can have an almost unlimited number of multiple windows open and you are no longer simply limited to the size of your monitor to do so. It also allows you to make desktop widgets from your favorite parts of the web and add RSS feeds, games, videos, and more.

While 360desktop doesn’t give you a larger viewing area yet, a simple alternative fix for this could be a zoom feature that would allow you to zoom out and do just that. Hence you would then be able to view multiple large windows at once that wouldn’t otherwise be able to fit on your fixed area monitor. 360desktop will soon allow users to create their own 360’s from any images or online photo albums as well as allow users to share them with their friends. Check out the embedded demo of 360desktop below.
